JA Peruvian Paso Horses

Born in Lima, Peru, Janic Arllentar was raised to ride, train and love the Peruvian horse, forging a true and forever passion for this incredible breed.  His style of training reflects a unprecedented and deeply  intuitive understanding of all aspects of these naturally Gaited horses.  By embracing the individual strengths and uniqueness of each horse, he establishes a connection of real trust and respect, allowing the horse to exceed all expectations.  

With over 20 years of experience, his achievements are unparalleled, including multiple National Champions in every division, and countless Regional Championships and Champion of Champion titles. 

Janic’s expertise and genuine dedication to traditional Peruvian horsemanship make him one of the most prominent and universally respected horse trainers in the breed.   

In addition to pursing professional accolades, Janic has successfully created a wonderful training facility, inviting and safe for horses and their owners.  At JA Peruvian Horses Ranch, all riders of all levels are welcomed and encouraged to reach their highest potential in all arenas, show or pure pleasure riding.  Here horses and their owners will find a positive, energetic environment focused on developing a strong bond between horse and rider, and always working to improve and become knowledgeable Peruvian horse people.  

After many years dedicated to training and competing, Janic became a certified Peruvian judge in 2015.  Since then he has proudly judged in regional  shows across the US, thoroughly enjoying the experience of meeting other trainers and owners, witnessing the beauty and grace of the horses from another perspective.  

Janic is also a dedicated husband and father, who loves to cook and barbecue, and spends his days with his wife and daughters at their family ranch.
