New K-12 Educational Equine Program: JA Peruvian Paso Horses (Hemet, CA) educational equestrian program designed specifically for homeschool and charter school students in Riverside County: JA Peruvian Paso Horses, located locally in Hemet, California.
We offer structured, multi-disciplinary courses that fulfill K-12 Physical Education (PE), Biomechanics, and Biological Science goals. Unlike standard recreational riding barns, our facility utilizes purebred Peruvian Paso horses. This breed provides two significant advantages for your homeschool students: Physical Accessibility & Smooth Gaits: The Peruvian Paso possesses a 100% natural, four-beat lateral gait (Paso Llano) that entirely eliminates the harsh, vertical bouncing of a standard trot. This makes horseback riding highly accessible for students building core strength, or those with sensory processing needs, as they develop balance without physical impact.
Our course is divided into a 30-minute academic groundwork block and a 30-minute mounted block. Students, as well, study the historical journey of the breed from Spain to Peru, and equine anatomy.
Our facility, near Diamond Valley Lake, includes premium riding and groundwork spaces, with wonderful views.
Monday – Friday Morning Schedules available.
